Why I Created Polly & Purdee
As a mother, educator, and woman of faith, I saw firsthand how anxiety quietly affects not just children—but their parents, too. I created Polly & Purdee out of a deep desire to speak peace into those tender places, where big feelings often go unspoken. Through storytelling, art, and Scripture, I wanted to give families a way to connect, breathe, and remember who they are in Christ. Polly represents the child learning to be brave, while Purdee offers calm reassurance and truth—together, they remind us that even in our most anxious moments, we’re never alone. This series was born not just to entertain, but to comfort, inspire, and gently guide children and parents back to the heart of God.
"Children are born brave—it’s the world that tells them otherwise. I’m here to remind them Who made them brave.”
